BETTIE PAGE REVEALS ALL crew paid a visit to Dangerous Mathematicians in Manhattan's Lower East Side for an event at a boutique founded by math teachers who lend a nod to one-time teacher Bettie Page.
We covered the event, from the Bettie artwork by Jasmin (Vintage Vandalizm), to the spanktastic photo shoots in Dangerous Mathematicians corset gear, to the music by DJ Derivative, g33f, and Batucada L'atelier.

I AM LOOKING FOR AUTO BODY PARTS:
I HAVE A NASCAR OPEN WHEELED MODIFIED STOCK CAR. WHEN IT WAS FIRST BUILT BACK IN 1984 THEY USED AN OLDSMOBILE FIRENZA 2 DOOR COUPE BODY OR SKIN.
ON OPEN WHEELED MODIFIEDS THEY ONLY USE THE BODY PANELS FROM THE FIRE WALL BACK, AND ONLY THE OUTER SKIN.
SO I NEED THE ROOF, RIGHT AND LEFT DOOR SKINS, R AND L QUARTER PANELS, TRUNK LID ECT………
DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN BUY THESE BODY PARTS?
DON’T SAY A SALVAGE YARD, I JUST NEED THE SKINS, THERE IS WAY TOO MUCH WORK IN SEPARATING THE OUT SKIN AND MAKING IT FIT RIGHT.
FOR EXAMPLE; IF I BUY AN ENTIRE DOOR, I WOULD HAVE TO CUT THE OUT SKIN OFF. BACK IN 1984 YOU COULD BY JUST THE SKINS.
FROM THE MID 1960′S UP UNTIL THE LATE 70′S MY FATHER BUILT NASCAR MODIFIED STOCK / RACE CARS. THE LAST CAR HE BUILT WAS IN THE LATE 70′S AND HE USED THE SKIN OF A FORD PINTO. BACK THEN YOU COULD BUY JUST THE OUTER BODY SKINS.
WE HAVEN’T BEEN ABLE TO FIND A COMPANY THAT SELLS REPLICA OR SURPLUS BODY PARTS FOR ANTIQUE OR CLASSIC CARS.
I HAVE ANOTHER VINTAGE OPEN WHEELED MODIFIED AND THIS ONE HAS A 59 ANGLIA BODY ON IT NOW, I WANT TO PUT A DIFFERENT BODY ON IT, FOR EXAMPLE A 1934 CHEVY 5 WINDOW COUPLE OR MAYBE EVEN A 1970′S PINTO BODY.
SO IF ANYONE KNOWS OF A COMPANY THAT SELLS REPLICA OR SURPLUS BODY SKINS OR PANELS PLEASE LET ME KNOW.
I DID A SEARCH FOR PINTO BODY PARTS AND I ONLY FOUND FRONT FENDERS.

My father has homeowners insurance that covers the exterior buildings around his house, like a garden shed/ covered carport.
this past weekend, a large snowfall provided too much weight for one building, and it collapsed. inside was a lawn mower and an antique automobile that dad has had since he was my age, and it was damaged by a metal beam. (think hot dog bun).
the insurance company is now saying that they will pay for the repair of the building and for a new lawnmower, but not the car itself. it was not fully restored, but it was in fair working condition (meaning the engine works and the auto does move).
does exterior building coverage also include everything inside, or does it have a limit?
is the insurance company trying to weasel out of paying my father? if so, who should I call? (I’m in NC).
please help! with good sources please!

You won’t get a dime in regard to that car. Don’t waste your money on an attorney. Talk to your state’s insurance commish, if you want more info.

I am going to sell my vintage car. It’s a 1947 Cadillac, I was supposed to be starting it up periodically for the owner, but there’s not enough juice. Can I just use a regular 12 volt starting pack, or just jump it off of my truck like a 12 volt battery, or are my options more limited?
First, a 47 Caddy has a 6-volt system not 18 volts. And, no, you cannot jump it with a 12 volt battery without risking serious damage to hard to find parts. Purchase a battery charger with a 6/12 switching system and use it to keep the battery charged.
