where do people find parts for classic cars?

where do people find parts for restoring classic Antique Cars like trim lenses for lights body parts i’m restoring a 75 chrysler station wagon and know one knows where to find parts for them

1. Ask at local salvage yards. They might not have older cars like that, but they might know of other yards in your area that do.
2. Hemmings Motor News or Old Cars Weekly
3. Car shows/swap meets.
4. eBay, eBay, EBAY!
5. Craigslist.

Good luck and have fun.

Can I get antique car insurance?

I called my bank USAA to get a rough quote for antique car insurance but the told since im 19 I can’t get Antique Car Insurance. I asked them if i could put it under my fathers name and they told me that whoevers name its under is the only one that can drive it.

Now i don’t know if its all Antique Car insurance that requires you to be 25 or older or just USAA’s.

autoinsurance.noneto.com - try this one. I have their car insurance and, as I know, they can provide such a service.

Does anyone have any advice on organizing an Antique Car Cruise-In?

I need help with organizing a benefit Antique Car, Truck & Bike show to benefit a local charity. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Set a date and secure a location. If it’s a public place, like a park or school stadium parking lot, you will still need to get permission to use it. Contact the city parks & recreation department about a park, or the school itself about using their grounds.

Determine the cost of participation. Will there be an entry fee? Will you be providing a meal? If so, will that cost be included in the entry fee? Will t-shirts be included? Does your venue charge you for the use of their space? How many people do you expect to participate? How much money do you hope to raise?

Get the word out!!! Get a mailing list from the charity you’re benefiting. Send flyers to their supporters. Get a mailing list (if possible) from any antique auto clubs in your greater vicinity. Send them word, too. If you can’t get mailing lists, ask to have your info put into their newsletters or on their websites — or ask to have your info given out at their meetings. Post flyers in all the grocery stores and churches and libraries and schools and other such places that will let you do so.

Ask an official from an antique car club what categories you should have for prizes, how you should display the vehicles, and so on.

There. That should help get you started. You’ve probably already done most of this, or at least thought it through. You can take it from there to come up with the rest of what you should do, I’m sure.

What is the best way to sell an antique car?

Autotrader has a sister site, collectorcartraderonline. I’ve sold a few on there, and it’s nationwide. Costs a little, but worth it. One good thing about it is that it keeps the "lookey-loos" away (those who aren’t really interested in your car, just wanna look at it).
