Polishing Antique Auto Brass on genuine autos.?
We have a need for information on restoration and repare of early Brass teen & preteen autos. We use chemicals in our derusting baths. We have sisals/buffers. etc. We have been reworking these types of autos since 1958. We are located in Branson, Mo. USA. Unfortunately this was my hobby ’til I retired from teaching. I have 27 of these cars and a large facility in which I am overwhelmed and overworked. I need to finish these cars in order to pay everything off. Interested in any REAL knowledge in buffing speeds and chemical cleaning solutions to save time and $$. I taught engineering classes, autobody, welding, auto restoration and have a 6000sqft very complete shop for FULL restorations. I need answers to this delimma. I have recieved 1 informative response from this Blog. Thank you, but, I need more information. Retirement income only goes so far and I have been collecting since 1960 and now it’s time to put these cars together so that I may sell them except for 3-4 that I will keep.
we use a product called brasso and use a very low rpm speed.

what about using phospheric acid, not sure how it would work but know it has been used to clean copper in industial applications.
